In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.

The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Newest Free Story Update

This update also brings the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
