A Minimum of 98 Palestinian Detainees Have Died in Detention Starting From October 2023, Israeli Data Reveals
According to figures provided by Israel, a minimum of 98 Palestinian individuals have lost their lives during detention beginning in October 2023. An advocacy organization operating from Israel has stated that the actual figure is likely considerably higher, due to numerous of disappeared people from Gaza.

Notable Incidents
Some deaths in confinement have been widely reported, including a 50-year-old healthcare leader who lost his life in detention after four months in detention.
An inmate detained alongside the deceased testified that he was led to the yard by correctional officers shortly before his demise, obviously hurt and naked from the waist down. His corpse remains unreleased to Gaza.
Other prisoners who perished in confinement by Israeli authorities stay unnamed. Correctional authorities and military provided analysts with the figure of casualties in confinement, and limited additional information including the facility where they lost their lives, but without the prisoners’ names.
Recognition Difficulties
For 21 instances, primarily people from Gaza, analysts could not to correlate the few details supplied by officials to a casualty recorded by human rights groups, via accounts from released detainees or accounts in the press.
